I have been doing as well as could be expected. I am back in Florida so it's nice to be with Ryan. Although I am still upset about the whole thing, I am trying hard to smile and not let it show. The spasms have returned and have gotten worse since the DBS was removed. When I suck on a piece of candy or ice, my throat tightens up. It's very scary but Im hoping it won't get any worse. My neck also twitches sometimes and my foot spasms have come back. My hand is curled in but if I think about it, I can straighten my wrist (not my fingers). The most upsetting part is that I was just looking at pictures of myself the day after DBS and I had a huge smile on my face because I had made it through and then a couple weeks later there was a picture of my hand open. I had never been so excited as I was that day. I had so much in my head that I wanted to do now that I could use my hand and most of it involved Hailey. Hailey helped me get through the surgery and I was getting better mostly for her. I just wanted to be able to take care of her as best as I could, and finally I was going to be able to do everything for her with two hands. Now, I have to go through the whole thing again. I feel like it was such a waste of time. But, on the positive side... atleast I know it worked and thats why I am willing to go through with it again.
Hailey is doing great. She is starting to get into everything and when I feed her she likes to grab the spoon and play with it. Everytime I tell her no, she laughs. I don't mind though because it is the cutest thing I've ever seen! She is starting to move all over the place and try pulling herself up. She now eats many table foods and says dada, momma and bubba. Her smile is the most precious thing I've ever seen and I don't know what I'd do without her. She has the cutest giggle in the world and she loves to just play with her toys and her friends! She is very excited to be back in FL where she can see her daddy and her friends Mady and Erica but misses all her family back in MA!
Ryan is also doing good. He has about a month and a half left of school! We are planning to move back to MA the first week in September then move to wherever he gets a job after that. He has been applying but we are not sure where we will end up yet! He is very happy to have his little girl back here with him.
